Rooms and Reservations

Q.What are the check-in and check-out times?
A.Check-in is between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM and check-out is at 10:00 AM. If your arrival is going to be after 6:00 PM, let us know in advance.
Q.Can I request an early check-in?
A.We will provide an early check-in (from 1:00 PM) when possible for an additional 1,000 JPY per hour plus tax.
Q.Can I request a late check-out?
A.You have the option of purchasing late check-out (up to 12:00 PM) for an additional 1,000 JPY per hour plus tax.
Q.Can I store my bag before check-in/after check-out?
A.We offer bag storage before check-in/after check-out, but space is limited and security of valuables is not guaranteed.
Q.When are dinner and breakfast?
A.Dinner is ready after 6:00 PM, and breakfast is served between 7:30 AM and 9:00 AM.
Q.Where can I have dinner and breakfast?
A.Your dinner and breakfast are served at a restaurant on the first floor or in the hall with tatami-mat flooring on the second floor.
Q.Do you offer wireless internet access?
A.Wireless internet access is available in the lobby on the first floor.
Q.Do you offer computer rentals?
A.We do not offer computer rentals.
Q.Does every room have a private bathroom and a bathtub?
A.Yes, every room has a bathroom containing a washbasin, a bathtub and a bidet toilet.
Q.Is smoking allowed in the room?
A.All the rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is permitted in the designated area on the second floor.
Q.Can you accommodate guests with food allergies?
A.While we will do our best to accommodate dietary requirements, we cannot guarantee being able to meet all requests.

Baths

Q.What time are the large bathing rooms open?
A.The large bathing rooms are open from 1:00 PM until 9:00 AM the following morning, with about an hour of closing time from 11:00 PM for the switching of entrance curtains and cleaning of the changing rooms (as soon as the work is done, the rooms will be opened). From 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, the baths are closed for cleaning.
Q.Are there hairdryers and toiletries in the large bathing rooms?
A.Amenities in the changing rooms include two hairdryers, hair styling products, face lotion, face moisturizer and other beauty supplies, while the baths are stocked with shampoo, hair conditioner, body soap and face wash.
Q.Do you offer day-trip bathing services?
A.Yes, we offer day-trip bathing services from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM (last admission 4:00 PM). However, the service is not provided when the baths are full with in-house guests.
Q.Are large bathing rooms available before check-in/after check-out?
A.No, they are not available before check-in/after check-out.
Q.Are the large baths fed by natural thermal water?
A.Our large baths are fed by natural thermal water 100%, continuously flowing from the source. The water has a naturally high temperature, so the baths might feel too hot for you. Adjust the temperature with the tool provided.

Q.Is parking available?
A.We have 25 complimentary parking spaces for our guests. Advance booking is not required.
Q.How do I get to Kagasuke?
A.[Cars] It takes 30 minutes from Morioka IC Exit. [Free shuttle bus] It takes about 45 minutes from JR Morioka Station. *Book your seat at least 3 days prior to your arrival.
Q.I am planning to travel by car. Is it safe to drive during snow conditions?
A.Snow is plowed and maintenance is done on major roads, but be sure to have snow tires.

Other

Q.Do you accept credit cards?
A.Yes, we accept VISA, JCB, American Express, Diner's Club, UC, DC, NICOS, UFJ Card, Master Card, Saison, JACCS, and JTB.
Q.Are there ATMs around?
A.Yes, there is an ATM at Oshuku Post Office, but it is closed on Sundays and national holidays.
Q.Can I bring outside food and beverages into Kagasuke?
A.We do not allow our guests to bring outside food and beverages under guidance of the health inspection monitor.
Q.Do cell phones work there?
A.Cell phones of all Japanese cell phone companies work at Kagasuke.
Q.Are there any English-speaking staff?
A.We make every effort to communicate using translator machines and other methods.
Q.Can I stay with my service dog?
A.You can stay with a licensed service dog (the certification documents for the dog need to be presented). Pets are not allowed.
Q.Are you wheelchair accessible?
A.At this time, wheelchair users may find it difficult to stay with us unless they are accompanied and assisted by a support person.
