Onsen

Quality thermal waters continuously flowing from the source

At Kagasuke, we use natural thermal waters with a history, continuously fed 100% from the source. The temperature of the hot spring waters at Oshuku Onsen can be as high as 50-60℃, so if it feels too hot, cool it down by stirring the water with the tool provided to make bathing possible. This can lower the temperature without reducing the supposed healing qualities, as well as warm you up before getting in the bath. These thermal waters are popular among women for their warming and moisturizing effects. The white mineral deposits floating in the water, called "Yunohana," make our baths special.

What are Yunohana?

When high-temperature spring waters meet the air, mineral deposits in the water are cooled, creating an insoluble sediment. This insoluble sediment of minerals forms what are called Yunohana (hot water flowers). When seen for the first time, guests might wonder what is floating in the water, but, actually, the presence of yunohana proves that the bath is made from genuinely natural thermal waters.

Our large bathing rooms are

We support the Pink Ribbon campaign.

The Pink Ribbon onsen network is a group of onsen facilities nationwide, dedicated to providing an enjoyable environment for those who have undergone surgery for breast cancer by participating in the J. POSH onsen partnership. Kagasuke is registered with the Pink Ribbon onsen network. If you need any help, do not hesitate to tell us. As the number of special bathing covers is limited, please request one when booking your room.

Point 1Bathtime-cover rental

Bathtime-covers are specially-designed bathing wear for people with breast surgery scars, so that they can enjoy bathing without worrying about wandering eyes. Soap residue will not cling to the cover, so it is completely hygienic and can be worn in the bath.

Point 2All rooms are non-smoking.

All of our rooms are non-smoking, so that you can relax in a smoke-free environment. A smoking area is located on the second floor.

Point 3Assistance for guests with dietary restrictions

For those trying to control diet and wellbeing after surgery, we do our best to meet your requirements. Please let us know about any restrictions, such as no meat, raw fish or eggs, reduced sodium, or any allergies.
