Foot bath in Oshuku1-minute walk from Kagasuke

A foot bath is located in Uguisuyunosato Park, a 1-minute walk from Kagasuke. Dip your feet in the natural thermal waters of Oshuku with yunohana floating in it, and enjoy a comfortable breeze while taking in the sights of the season to the sound of the Oshuku River. Soaking for too long can lead to feelings of dizziness, so be aware of the time. After enjoying the foot bath, appease your thirst with our choice alkaline, ionized water available in the lobby on the first floor. Geta sandal rentals are available upon request at the front desk.

OtakiCrystal clear stream in Oshuku

A 15-minute stroll from Kagasuke will lead you to Otaki Falls. Discover the beautiful scenery of abundant crystal clear waters tumbling between rocks and surrounded by hardwood trees that change throughout the seasons. You will encounter beautiful spots along the way, including clusters of dogtooth violet and skunk cabbages. The path passes a spring water source, perfect for a break. Lake Gosho

Lake Gosho is a dam reservoir located in the valley of the Shizukuishi River in the Kitakami water system. Numerous events such as Goshoko Matsuri Festival and a running race are held along the shore. In 2005, Lake Gosho was selected as one of the top 100 dam reservoirs.

Koiwai Farm is the largest privately-owned dairy farm in Japan founded in 1891. Here you can interact with animals in the grazing pasture as well as enjoy recreational activities such as archery and horseback riding.

Roadside Station Shizukuishi Anekko

Roadside Station Shizukuishi AnekkoApprox. 20 minutes by car

Located along Route 46, Roadside Station Shizukuishi Anekko sells seasonal, locally-produced vegetables as well as popular items made using Shizukuishi Beef, such as Shizukuishi Beef mixed miso and Shizukuishi deep-fried, breaded ground beef patties.

Matsubokkuri

Matsubokkuri25 minutes by car

Matsubokkuri is a popular gelato shop, which also has a branch within Morioka Station. All of the gelato is made with fresh milk and at least fourteen different flavours, including seasonal specials, are served on a daily rotation.
